Nikon D70s - Nikon 12-24 Taken on 07/06/2007 13:53
I apologize for the long hiatus between posting. I have so many pictures I have taken since my last post, especially during the summer.
This picture was taken during the July 4th week when I went to Cancun, Mexico with the family. We went to see Chichen Itza, an ancient Mayan ruin. I went with a tour guide, and he showed us around the ruin and explained how all the structures were connected with mathematics, astronomy, and religion. We pretty much spent the entire day touring, learning, and looking around the area.
I'm going to post a couple of pictures of the area in the days to come.
Post Process: Color balance Levels Hue/Saturation Clone Stamp Smart Sharpen
I had to do some color balance because the original photograph had a nasty (cyan?) hue over the image I also clone stamped out several tourists who were in the way.

Beautiful shot! The clouds add to the feeling of greatness this structure has. I visited Chichen Itza a few years ago and climbed the inside of it - the outside looked too scary :P Did you clap in front of it and hear the hawk/eagle(some kind of bird i don't remember) ?
